I agree with this.

I said the same about marcus, only to be shot down with claims of 'hes a legend' and such.

I think he was also deeply insecure, this came about the night he was talking to charlie about never being wanted as a child. I believe he also put on a persona to try and protect himself...

An unpopular view, but it makes sense.
