From what I saw on the HLs, it was Siavash that was indeed the ONLY Hm who was showing some real joy and excitement about the gravity of the letter.
The rest all stood there looking unimpressed giving half hearted congratulations.

It was when he went to the diary room in the middle of Daves party that was attention seeking,he knew it would get him plenty of airtime,taking it away from the others just before the final.Even Siavash fans admit he never had any intention of leaving.

I'm not foolishly trying to defend anyone, I was referring to the VW letter with David that RRFan commented on.
Regarding the whether he was going to leave or not there are arguments for and against if he meant it or not. Noone will know. That is why I wasn't getting into that.
