I disagree over the whole fur coat and Galloway getting involved thing. As far as I recall, Jodie had said that killing all animals is murder. It's always dangerous making such a generalised and sweeping statement about any issue cos nothing is ever that black or white. George made the point that certain cultures need to kill animals to survive, giving the example of the eskimo people IIRC. Jodie counters with some rubbish about how they don't have shops or something and so they're primitive. Now, such a statement is begging for trouble, especially with an experienced public speaker like Galloway in the house.
What disappointed me the most about Jodie in this little exchange (and I started watching CBB with an open mind about her) was how inarticulate she was about a subject she supposedly feels strongly about. She goes on about how she supports animal rights and PETA (sp) and all, and yet when a discussion arises about it she comes out with generalised and sweeping statements and then goes on to back that up by criticisng a whole culture cos they don't have shops and stuff. It's fine to say that killing all animals is murder but you need to be able to back it up when someone challenges your stance, especially someone like Galloway. She couldn't back it up and instead resorted to insults and then turning on the tears for a bit of sympathy. Pathetic
