You know things have changed since you went back from France right ? We can't smoke everywhere, not inside pubs/restaurants/clubs/schools/any public places but the streets and houses. And smoking around children is prohibited too (I'm for this one, people who smoke next to kids should be locked to jail, it's horrible).
I know what smoking implies so I'm not getting in that debate over and over again.
