The early games are the best

SH1 has **** graphics, but is as scary as hell (literally!)
SH2 has a great story, not too scary, but quite deep
SH3 is the first game set in the 2000's also the first with a female star, the story is a continuation of the 1st
SH4: The Room is an okay game, it can be VERY creepy at times though, although the second half of the gave involves revisiting all the previous levels, and you cant roam freely like in the others
SH 0rigins is a prequel and is made by a British team, the graphics arent great, and it isnt as scary
SHH is an good game, but a **** SH game, this game has great pacing and it is movie like
