You stick it in the back of a computer and it puts pictures on the screen - it puts stuff on the screen.

Every computer has one mate. Even yours. Some are attached to the main board (a motherboard) but you can put them on the motherboard as well. This is usually to operate more graphics intensive programs faster.

For 1gb this is fairly cheap but I liked at the specs and it seems this is a 256mb card.
