I hadn't realised that they could still serve the papers on him abroad. But still, there'd be very little point in doing that, as he wouldn't be in any way compelled to do anything about it, of course. And I don't suppose they'd be able to stop him returning to New Zealand a week after leaving the house or whatever, anyway?
