Joshua Safron (Gossip Girl writer) did an interview just before S3 and said that it was never their intention to show them in a lesson/classroom. So I don't think we'll be seeing them in one, but Blair did mention on the phone to Chuck that she could skip French, so I guess they have began.

Stephanie has always been proud of the fact that we have never entered a classroom in the show. And I agree with her because the show is not about school - and it never was, so in that way the show isn't changing. The show has always been about kids and their families in New York. It's just now viewed through the prism of a time of change.
