Hmmm, don't think so. Can only see options to control how forums display for everyone, not user controlled. There are about 10000 options though so I'll keep looking.

You can backup U2Us (we call them PMs now
) to your computer by going to 'Download all Private Messages as: XML | CSV | Text' underneath the list of messages. You probably want to select 'Text' there.
