This comment is rubbish in my opinion.
Once the contestans are into the semi-finals on American Idol, all the sob stories are left aside and the focus is soley on the singing. That's why I respect AI way more then the X factor.
The x Factor is almost a pantomine at this stage what with the judges at each other every week and the contestants constant crying and whinging because they are raising their child alone because their partner got shot by Islamic terroroists in 1994 and their entire family has been wiped out by a plague,
and Oh ya, their mother has MS aswell.
Such OTT-ness at every turn.
Seriously, go and watch an episode of the finals of AI.
It's just about the contestansts and their voices and preformances.
