Money exchanges hands does it not? People pay to have a funeral in a church correct? Then they have the right to decide how the service goes. This vicar's policy will probably end up being reversed by his superiors since it will dent into the church's profit.
If he can't cope with so many funerals then perhaps he should look at another job since they kind of come with the territory.
