I think he saw this as his last opportunity to save his career. So he's not only got that idea on his mind, but also the same stresses and strains as the other hm's. Whenever we see any of them kicking off, it generally seems really petty and uncalled for. But when you're put into a locked house with ten strangers, in the same living space, sharing the same bathroom, eating and even sleeping together, the little things are bound to be blown out of all proportion. It's easy to jump to the conclusion that he's mentally unstable. I'm still not convinced that it's anything more than nervousness and the much higher stakes involved as far as Barrymore is concerned.
