Time for me to be Simon Cowell

Arneldo

Weather shot:
Slightly washed out feel as if this was a colour photo taken in the 1970s, and you seem to have two items on the right, which if this was 35mm film I would have thought was a hair on the negative. There also seems to be some sort of ring hovering on the water to the right. Not sure what that is, maybe a session with a lens cloth would not be out of order.

I am also the powerlines on the left are a bit of a distraction.

Generally taking pictures of the Sun is problematic, and best done when the sun is low in the sky. If sunny weather was meant to be the theme, then pictures of brilliantly lit cumulus clouds tend to make a better bet

Halloween
Sorry, but if this was the Bonfire Night group, maybe. This does seem like straining at a gnat

bronaaaaa

Weather
Very Wuthering Heights and moody, even if a tad under exposed

Halloween
Looks like the tree has some glow-worms visiting it, was that meant to be the Moon. Sorry but this does not speak to me of Halloween.

Dezzy

Weather
Not submitter

Halloween
I agree, the lighting sucks. The blood is so obviously ketchup and nothing like a blood pool.

Jéssícá

Weather
The image seems rather non de-script to me and the film quality reminds me of a camera I got from eat cream crackers. to get any result I needed a 400 ASA film. In other words it looks grainy. Great for sunsets and more moody shots

Halloween
This still life was clever and I had to look twice at the "pumpkin" same grainy style image, however unlike the weather picture this does carry and makes it look like it was done as an oil painting.

LewisLeona
Failed to send in either

Patrick

Weather
I have taken pictures of rainbows and sorry but in terms of inspiration, I'm not getting it from this. It looks slightly bleached and rainbows need to be a bit under exposed to get the moody atmosphere required

Halloween
If you had the elder child standing up, that would have been better and the black cape gets lost somewhat against the black sofa

CaraRawr
Failed to send in either

GypsyGoth

Weather
Nice try, light ok, but compositionally it would have been nicer to see more of the scene, and maybe picked up some rings as rain drops hit the puddle.

Bonfire night
Hmmmm - Not convinced this could be a sparkler on a drink. Sparkler shots are best if someone can be seen holding them

MrGaryy
Failed to send in either

Nate

Weather
Sorry, but even with the decision to do this in black and white, this just does not speak to me of weather, just someone's back yard.

Bonfire Night
A good still life shot in black and white, quite reasonable shot at this.

PJ

Weather
The secret to a good snow scene is a polarizing filter if you are doing colour, a yellow filter if you are doing black and white, and getting it in focus

Bonfire Night
Looks more like someone was trying to fake the totality shot you get with a total solar eclipse. Does not speak to me of bonfire
