I think people who genuinely seek approval on forums are people who can't find it elsewhere, be it in school, work w/e, if they don't fit in or get on well with those around them in r/l, they come to a forum where there are lots of close knits groups of friends nand they immediately want to be accepted and taken in because its something their real life lacks. I would say a high amount of TiBB's regulars, particularly young members have or are being bullied which is why the seek so much solace in TiBB.

in my opinion anyway, I'm no psychologist.
