Sounds like a Helenism to me.
I agree with cc. If the unthinkable did happen and paul and Helen don't ultimately make a go of it, they will have given their relationship a good chance and thought through carefully what they want for their future.
The last meaningful interview they gave as a couple sounded like they had made and foresaw a long term commitment for themselves.
I didn't particularly like Paul's 'at the moment' comment, but I think that was Mr Clarke just being his own ultra cautious self.
On his Virgin radio interviews in June and July he was very pro. He said
'If we can get through that (the first year) I think we must be meant to be together'.
Sounds good to me.
Mum action is indeed required any time now. He may not be 'one of life's planners

', but I suspect he needs his mum's help to make wild spontaneous decisions.
As a mum, I heartily approve of this.
Having seen Jenny and Lizzie in action I feel confident we can leave the matter in their capable hands!
