I also used to have this really confusing theory that is really hard to explain. Basicly there was like this wish thing which went round every person in the world. So it would be "on" someone and would be "on" them until they made a wish, then it would grant that wish and then go on to the next person etc. I thought that if you wasted your wish you would have to wait for everyone in the world to have a wish before you could have a wish again. I tried to never make stupid wishes. But once i wished my hamster would die so i could get a cat and the next week it did i was really upset because

a) my hamster had died
b) id lost my wish
