I have to be interested in it LOL. Like if I am revising politics (I don't actually do politics but just an example) - I would make myself get enthused about it and have a viewpoint so that I can learn and argue both arguments.
Don't bother making colourful flashcards and pretty posters - as good as it makes you feel you won't learn from it. I learned this the hard way
