When I was a little girl I used to go to sleep lying on my tummy [I still do that ] on top of a LARGE selection of soft toys [I don't do that bit any more !] including a lumpy black dog bought for pennies at the church fair. I believed that if any were visible something terrible would happen and they wouldn't be there in the morning.Untill I fell asleep I constantly pushed them back in from where I imagined they were slippping out. I am sure a psychologist would have a 'field day' with this !
