Minogue Lights Up New York
Pop star Kylie Minogue turned New York's Empire State Building red and white on Thursday in honor of a cancer charity.
The Australian singer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, turned on the lights of the Manhattan landmark in a special ceremony to honor the Coty/DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Partnership, a charitable drive which promotes bone marrow donations.
Minogue, who is linked to beauty giant Coty through her self-titled fragrance line, was guest of honor at the lighting ceremony and pressed the button to illuminate the building in shades of red and white.
The event was followed by a fundraising gala on Thursday evening to raise money for the campaign.
Minogue recently announced her first ever North American tour which kicks off in Oakland, Calif., at the end of September.
