I guess personality is quite key in all of this.
Has that ever happened to you when you see someone (lets say a mates friend) thought she/he was soo good looking/fit, spoke to them and that put you off them??

It happens to me all the time, lots of good looking people are either up themselves, rude, arrogant etc... sorry to generalze.
On only some occasions does a gorgeous person has the best personality.

Now would you date someone that was really pretty/fit who had the dullest personality ever to an extreme and someone who your friends dont like as a person?, or someone who is okay, normal looking, briliant personaliy that all of your friends and family like?
