Some pets just can't be replaced. Sometimes in my dreams my childhood dogs are still alive and I get all sniffly when I wake up and remember they've gone to doggy heaven.
My lifestyle doesn't suit having a dog or cat, and I'm likely to forget I'm looking after a lower maintenance animal, so I don't really know enough.
ROB - love your new avatar and did Paul really say that about a tortoise and hippos? I missed that one, yet it seems somewhat profetic given that less generous people on other boards have taken to referring to H as Hippo.
Perhaps he has tortoise-like qualities and hence will be safe no matter how hard you try on our virtual outing.
