As a close friend to someone who's been raped, I can tell you that it's just as earth shattering to friends and family of the victim. The person who's been raped can't help but relive the horror over and over again, and it takes its toll on others. The b*stard who did it to her was arrested and jailed for 7 years, but could also be eligable for parole quite soon. This makes me angry, because someone who's done such a despicable crime doesn't deserve to have the rights that law abiding citizens have. The only people, that in my opinion, deserve the chance of getting parole, are those who are jailed for manslaughter. It wasn't directly their fault, and I'm pretty sure they'd really wish they could turn back the clocks and stop it from happening. Obviously this isn't true in every case, but they should be the only people who deserve parole. Oh, and people who've committed murder, but the case isn't clear, they should get a chance too...
