Vinnie is a 1st class piss taker, i think he was trying to catch alex out whilst taking the mick at the same time, vinnie has them all sussed and knows which strings to pull
or in alex case with bars on the cage to rattle !
Dont forget he`s from another place and time, when men only bars exsisted, you could get rat assed on real beer then put ya ciggy out in the dreggs whilst grabbing at the topples stripper trying to dodge the flying bar stools....
