Well, I didn't like to say, but it is time you lashed out on a new plastic rainmate. They are handy things but the silver jubillee logo's are barely recognisable on yours, and after all they only cost a couple of quid.
As for the perm, I think you could carry it off. Are you going to go to Classy Cuts, or do you want me to nip round with a nice cheap and cheerful Twink home perm?

As for me, well OH did purchase a card. Any hopes of a romantic meal were dashed by an after shopping trip to the chippy.
We sent the evening as usual in a stupour in front of the TV. I missed Patrick Keilty..........by that time I was dribblin' in front of the telly.
