I actually agree with you peachy and it was one of the reasons that I hadn't thought he was miming. The sound quality sounded completely different to that on the album and video. It was a completely different version altogether.
I am now sure that he did mime though, I have watched it back and there are times when his lips aren't quite in synch. Also I've been talking it over with several of my Darius fan friends on MSN and the general concensus is that it was definitely mimed, however we are a bit confused as it is a different version to that on the CD with some of the words slightly altered as well, and this would usually indicate a live performance.
