Her calm and dignified manner is what conceals the physical intimidation of the thick moron...the housemates mentally associate her with him and so his bullying is overlooked...

Without her on his side he would be 'exposed' for what he truly is..an overgrown agressive chav...

The veil of Stephanie is shielding him...

Both of them would be far less important in the house if they parted company...
