At the end of the day, I would vote out the people who are nastier or more malicious because they don't deserve a place there. I'd rather have a nicey-nicey winner who deserves it than a smug winner who did nothing but cause trouble and gets rewarded.
Entertainment during the series is great (obviously) but having a 'nice' winner does not ruin it for me at all, in fact it makes quite a satisfying conclusion
