Take Shitty Shelpa(please, take her); she probably made millions from her short stint in BBUK(where she was traumatised apparently - although she didnt know it until she came out and was told so by the media!). Did that money go into the British economy? No!
Its not something I care passionately about so Im not gonna write pages. But if ch4 do insist on hiring foreign celebs then at least get decent ones! Pammy wouldve been great. But Sisqo, Baldwin and Jonas? Why bother?!?!

Actually I have thought about it, but it's still simply a trash TV entertainment show that airs in Britain & Ireland, based on a franchise created in the Netherlands by a Dutchman. It's got nothing whatsoever to do with race or naitonality. It's just a TV show. It has an effect on the economy, yeah, but not as a result of who wins it. Shilpa was an extreme example. Jade would be another. But if Nicola wins this year will the economy give a ****? On a scale of importance, it's like me saying that Mars bar I bought the other day had a profound effect on the economy.
I will vote based on a fine balance between entertainment value and human decency when the time comes, not such trivial things as 'well are they British?'.
