Who says Irish people don't have respect for the UK? I'm arguing from historical facts here. Your arguing from wide eyed assumptions. Really, really invalid ones.

I love Britain. Just like thousands of other Irish people. I hate the Britain of yesteryear, and I hate certain aspects of today's Britain, but that's because - believe it or not - countries are BIG PLACES full of LOTS OF PEOPLE and you can't just go making default assumptions.

I hate certain aspects of Ireland too. Our political, religious, educational and corporate integrations are all rotten to the core.
