Ok, here's a bit of script from a very well known film.
For obvious reasons I have cut the character names out.

Mother: It's not that we don't believe you, honey.
Main Character: Well, it was real, I swear...
His brother: Maybe it was an iguana.
Main Character: It was no iguana.
His brother: Maybe a, a, you know how they say there are alligators in the sewers.
Mother: All we're trying to say is, 'Maybe you just probably imagined it.'
Main Character: I couldn't have imagined it.
His brother: Maybe it was a deformed kid or something?
His Brother: Maybe an elf or a leprechaun?
