The mother who stood by and did nothing to save her defenceless son from months of unspeakable torture got just 3 years, and she has accepted no responsibility for his death, instead whinging about how going to prison has messed up HER life. As far as I'm concerned she is as guilty as the step father who killed him, in some ways more so because she betrayed her child in the most callous way imaginable.
