'Celebrity Big Brother' star Preston wants the word 'chav' to be banned.
The rocker - who last week got engaged to girlfriend Chantelle Houghton, who he met in the 'Big Brother' house - is fuming the slang term has become so widespread in British society because it is offensive to the working class.
He fumed: "Anyone who uses the word 'chav' makes me very angry. It's my least favourite buzzword. It basically stands for council house adolescent vermin. It's middle-class people saying, 'Aren't poor people gross?' We should all stop using that word."
Preston has admitted he was a tearaway when he was a teenager.
But the Ordinary Boys frontman claims he ditched his wild ways because his behaviour was a major turn-off to girls.
He told Britain's Top of the Pops magazine: "When I was young I was a bit of a s**t to be honest. I was a right little brat. I was just really out of order all the time, but I'm not like that now. I had to stop the girls didn't really like it."

Hes correct about the 'chav' fiasco.
The middle class media use it as a stick to beat those of us from poorer backgrounds.
