Glucose is a form of sugar, possibly similar to the one used on that particular breakfast cereal.
If this is a regular occurance, you need to ask your physician to do a starving glucose test. This will indicate if you have diabetes.

Sticks. did you eat a lot of sugar in your diet prior to being diagnosed, ie over many years?
