Been watching The re-runs of "The Hills" lately and their is a prime example of a Sociopath in it. Spencer emotionally blackmails his gf, plants doubt of trust in her head about all her friends, with the intent to encourage her to depend on him only. He allows for no sense of "other" in his decision making, thought processes, and objectives.

Womanizers are just brought up in an atmosphere where "notches on the bed post" are positively re-enforced, once they have been doing it for a few years it's hard for them to change. Sociopath's are a different thing.
