No, the narrative for Cane was fairly groundbreaking too. Welles had never worked on a film prior to this .... he came from a background of theatre.
I'd probably need to re-watch it then. Im sure we will be studying it for my 2nd year in college, I heard thats what this years 2nd year students are doing.

Im quite interested in Gus Van Sant, he is a brilliant director.
