It should, but the kid needs to have a little common sense, i'm sure every kid has heard of internet horror stories. If I was ever too meet someone off the net. i'd want to see them on webcam, talk to them on the phone these days. Kids are warned at an early age to be aware of the net. You will get some cases where the kids are unfortunately lured to their death, but more than not, the kid will pick up there is something wrong pretty quick.
