Thanks everyone, I mean it's not been confirmed yet but he's told me what's wrong and there is definitely something wrong with him, it just could range in seriousness from easily fixed to a permanent condition, he doesn't know for sure yet. I get to go home in 13 days though for Easter so I've got that to look forward to at least!

Hope everything will be fine for you, studying at uni and hanging around with friends or partying will be the best thing to help you try to take your mind off things however hard that will be.
