Default ABBA to reform?

Benny Andersson has hinted he and his former ABBA bandmates - Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog - may reunite for an intimate one-off performance.

ABBA may reunite for a one-off performance.

The Swedish pop group - made up of Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog - have always refused to reform, despite many pleas, but Benny has hinted it now could happen.

When asked about the possibility of a one-off performance, Benny said: "Yeah, why not. I don't know if the girls sing anything anymore. I know Frida was recently in the studio.

"If you can sing, you can sing. It's not a bad idea actually."

Although Benny and Bjorn have remained close and worked together since the group's split in the early 80s, the female members have stayed away from the limelight.

Blonde Agnetha has previously spoken out about how she hated her time in the band, although Bjorn - her ex-husband - thinks things have been exaggerated.

He said in an interview with The Times newspaper: "She didn't seem unhappy at the time. It's strange the way that history sometimes becomes rewritten and it becomes the truth."

He says people's perceptions of the past change, which is why so many fans are desperate for an ABBA reunion.

He said: "It's not just people wanting to hear the songs. It has more to do with the people wanting to be in some kind of mood that is fictitious. A mood of 'the 70s' that ABBA represents but is not rooted in reality."

I can't see it ever happening tbh, would be interesting if it did.
