The accompanying article in the Daily Star...

BIG BRO HOUSE IS INSIDE OUT!

by PETER DYKE

BIG BROTHER is determined to warp the minds of this year’s reality show contestants – as these amazing pictures reveal.

They give the first glimpse into the new no-hiding BB house.

And its crazy inside-out features are guaranteed to mess with the housemates’ heads.

OUTSIDE there’s a waterproof three-piece suite complete with standard lamp.

There’s also wallpaper and a giant black chandelier swinging above a large outdoor dining table.

INSIDE there’s grass on some of the floors – and even sculptured shrubbery in the lounge.

The BB kitchen – hub of the household as always – is half in and half outdoors.

Sliding glass doors lead to an open-air cooking section for barbies and parties in the warm summer weather.

Internal walls have been replaced this year with floor-to-ceiling glass sheets.

And that will allow housemates to see into all parts of the house.

Crowded

Although BB7 has the smallest house yet, producers have designed it so there is nowhere to hide.

There is no loft, sauna room or treatment area for private moments and everyone will be visible in every part of the building.

It will also be a crowded house with 18 contestants, the most ever, expected to cram inside in six days time.

All the housemates – blokes and the girls – will share the same bedroom.

Even the bathroom has designed as an incovenience.

Women housemates will hate the fact there are smelly urinals right next to the bath tub.

As always, every move of the housemates will be watched over by a threatening “padded” black eye logo covering the mirrored diary room door.

Producer Paul Osborne, 35, said last night: “It’s certainly not cosy. It is designed to disorientate the housemates. There are no hideyholes at all for them to run to.”

The house will also be swept for bugging devices amid fears of a betting scam.

Channel 4 bosses believe syndicates could try to find out eviction nominations a day before they are made public.

An insider at Elstree studios, Herts, said: “We’ll protect the integrity of the show whatever it takes.”

There will be at least one from the nerve-shredding routine for housemates.
