Ryan Seacrest first confirmed the single's release on American Idol on April 7, 2010 when Rihanna performed the song for the first time. He also announced that tickets would be on sale for Rihanna's The Last Girl on Earth Tour from Friday April 9, 2010. Speaking to ET Online before her appearance, she said: "It's really exciting. They are now loading the audience in and everybody is so excited!
