Or as opposed to pointless self mutilation you could get up away from the computer, take a walk do some exercise and work off your fustrations that way.
Alternating if you get knitting needles you can heat the pointsup till they glow red hot over your cooker, them stab them straight in to your eyes. Less messy than forks etc.
