Whilst Tescos do have a fleet of delivery vehicles, they actually use contracted hauliers to deliver most of their stock, plus couriers also deliver to all Tesco stores, Suppliers to Tesco like Walkers the crisp manufacturer also send their produce in contracted fleet hauliers. Lorries are allocated delivery times , consequently if they arrive before their allocated time they will find somewhere convenient to park up and await their delivery/pick up time.
The Elstree studios also have other work ongoing other than BB. so its also possible that the delivery if in fact it was to the studios, for another TV program or movie.
It is also possible that the delivery was for the BB house.
I dont suppose you got any other details other than the fact it was a big Lorry. Was it articulated, did you notice any logo's etc on it? When you say big, what size does that mean, larger than a courier van?
An important detail to watch for in future is behind the cab of the lorry and on the body of the load compartment was there any boxes or fairings as opposed to being just square, if there are boxes attached or a fairing this would indicate a cooler or freezer unit, this would indicate perishable stock and not furniture.
