It's really quite sad, when people go into threads on a subject they don't agree with, just to insult a bunch of strangers over the internet. Also, the fact that you think you hate someone you don't know shows you're much more petty than people simply saying they think Nikki's spoilt.
Anyway, I think that Nikki's parents were the sort who gave her everything she asked for to avoid having to deal with temper-tantrums. Now that someone's saying no to her, Nikki doesn't know how to deal with it, other to scream and scream until her voice gives out or she gets what she wants. Pathetic with a capital 'P.'
