Yes they are a good thing for British politics. Of course there is work to be done to make them perfect but they should definatly be kept.
The worst thing about them for me was the way the news channels (ITV and Sky) decided to try and push a certain opinion onto the people of how it went straight after, the best example being the sky news poll and headlines saying Cameron had won after the first debate but then later changed their tune when every other broadcaster said Clegg had won. Which in turn could sway how an ordinary person, who didn't really know about politics, thought.
