well shes obviously sold her story to the papers hasn't she? Thus making money from it.
Sorry Hass, but if you honestly believe that if he was guilty of rape he would have been convicted, you must be living in a dreamworld. I have no idea whether Sezer is guilty or not, and as the law in this country is (quite rightly IMO) innocent until proven guilty, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

However, the fact is that most rapes go unreported, and most of those that get reported do not result in a conviction. It is one of the hardest offences to prove - if there are no witnesses (and there usually aren't), it usually comes down to simply the woman's word against the man's. The presence of DNA means nothing if the man says that they slept together with the woman's consent. even if the woman is badly beaten, they would have to prove that it was that man who did it to her. Also, the Crown Prosecution Service - who are responsible for deciding what cases actually go to court - will not usually let a case get to court unless they think that they have a good chance of a conviction. They may well believe that someone is guilty of an offence, but think that they may not get a conviction, and therefore not let the case get to court. So even if the police think the man is guilty, without enough evidence (and in most rape cases, there isn't much evidence), the chances of it getting to court are extremely slim. Simply put, most rapists get away with the offence.

That said, as Sezer has not been charged with an offence, I think there should be a law against his name appearing in the papers linked to a rape charge, especially as he is in no position to respond and defend himself. I'm sceptical of this girl, as she has sold her story to the press, which I wouldn't think are the actions of a typical rape victim (if there is such a thing). Although some might say that she is telling the truth, and is upset that he has not been charged, so has decided to tell the world the truth. But I repeat that I don't believe anybody should be named in the papers when they have not been found guilty.

None if us know whether or not Sezer is guilty - I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. However, I reckon those that like him will think he is innocent, and those that don't will think he is guilty. Either way, there are going to be some ugly scenes when he comes out of the house, and I hope that security are ready for it.

Incidentally - I would add that any girl that falsely accuses a man of rape is a disgrace. It is an utterly despicable thing to do - not only can it ruin a man's life, but it also makes it so much harder for a genuine victim to be believed and get help. There should be a stiff sentence for anyone proven to have lied.
