Micheal was a good person he just wanted to be a father to walt, his girlfriend took some job in holland and took walt with her! It wasn't even his fault to begin with that he couldn't be a proper father to walt.. he lived in another country and in the flashbacks he even tried to ring him to speak to him and sent him letters as well.. then to make things worse his Ex wanted her new boyfriend to adopt walt.. Walt never thought he was a good father because he was never around but it was not Micheal's fault.
And Libby was boring anyway she offered nothing to the show but it was a complete reaction accident and it was all for Walt.
How did he take advantage of Jack, Kate and Sawyer? and Locke was going hunting for wild boars i wouldn't let my 9 year old son go out into the Jungle with someone i barely know to hunt boars LOL and tom friendly deserved to be spat on.. He was a dirty horrible bastard.
He never wanted anything his own way.. He just wanted to be a good father and did everything for Walt not himself
