Talking of old children's TV favourites, look who's making a comeback now!

Quote:
Story from Ananova
Children's puppet Muffin the Mule is to return to the BBC after nearly 50 years.

An updated version of the animated series has been bought by the corporation and will be shown in the next three years. The piebald mule, with strings attached, was first shown on the BBC in 1946.

A BBC spokesman told Teletext: "The show is being brought up to date, Muffin will now be living on a town farm rather than dancing on top of a piano. He will help animals solve problems."

In the new series Muffin will be reunited with pals Oswald the ostrich, Peregrine penguin, Monty monkey, Louise lamb and kittens Prudence and Primrose.

His last appearance with Annette - sister of Sir John Mills - came in 1955, just days before she died.

Of course, I'm FAR too young to remember this first time round.
