Kylie Minogue Has Meltdowns Over Work
Kylie Minogue has meltdowns over work “every few hours” but says her boyfriend helps her keep calm.
Kylie, 42, has been dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso, 32, for about eighteen months after a string of unsuccessful relationships.
The dedicated singer has always made it clear how important her career is and admits her perfectionist nature makes her prone to stress. Luckily she says Andres is very understanding and has been a source of calm now that she’s busy promoting her new album Aphrodite.
“The big difference in our relationship now is that he’s seen what I’m like when I’m working. I’ve gone from being relaxed to going into full-on-Kylie-at-work mode, having meltdowns every few hours and freaking out and him having to deal with it. He just looks at me wide-eyed and says, ‘Hey calm down. Nothing’s a problem,’” the star told Grazia magazine.
It was recently reported the couple’s relationship was under strain and that Andres felt pressured to support the singer as she embarked on a string of high-profile appearances. Kylie has vehemently denied the rumours and has spoken of her disappointment that her critics often seem to want her romances to fail.
“I don’t know why people would want us to break up. It never ceases to amaze me that people either want to see me in a marriage or a break-up. I’m in a lovely relationship that makes me incredibly happy and I hope it will stay like that,” she gushed.
However happy she is in her private life, Kylie revealed she will always be a career woman and has no plans to change that.
“I love to work. Music is a huge part of my life and I am so proud of my new album. And this is what I do – I don’t want to lose that. It’s about balance and so far everything seems right,” said the star.
