Well a small group of voters did. I don't think he's fooled the majority. The BBBM audience all booed him and the panel were mocking him as a murderer with anger issues.
All of which means he's buggered up his chances of winning basically.
Meanwhile, Rachael will spend the next 3 months basking in the BB publicity and making lots of dosh. If she'd come out at the end she would just get a very short period to milk the fame. It's really not a bad result for her. She was never gonna win anyhow so she may as well be out of there in the spotlight.
John will disappear once out of there. Hopefully penniless.
