JJ doesn't really see himself as a 'hunk' or 'good looking'.. i tihnk thats maybe the mistake the OP is making, she assumes he's a typical hunk, and perhaps it makes her feel insecure because she deep down likes him, but is defending herself by searching for every single little fault he might have, any excuse to stop herself liking him...

the 'typical' hunk was Kris last year or Dale the year before and they were both total twats in the end, as they always are..

I think thats why those of us who like him, like him, he's a bit unusual and is pretty good looking as well, but frankly, he's not really all that and not worth the time and effort they are spending on him IMO
